OROS 2011 – Performance Version

La performance (rappresentata in Italia nel 2011, della durata di 30 minuti) è ispirata ad alcune leggende della tradizione sarda, ormai diventate miti e nei secoli delle fiabe, ancora prima che il cristianesimo nascesse. OROS rappresenta simbolicamente un luogo irraggiungibile, il margine tra la vita e la morte, il limite estremo a cui deve tendere un uomo per ottenere le facoltà di cui necessita. La prima versione di OROS è stata rappresentata nel 2003 presso Tuscania (Viterbo) – Italia, ed è stata concepita in chiave spettacolare per la durata di un ora. Tale versione è stata preceduta da due anni di intensa ricerca e indagine al confine tra il mondo dell’equitazione e la danza. La versione performativa attuale (lunga 30 Min.) è il frutto di una maturazione di un lavoro decennale del cavaliere Francesco Caponetti, del danzatore Alessandro pintus e del cavallo Tolfetano Brio. The performance (made in Italy in 2011 and 30 minutes long) is inspired by legends of Sardinian tradition, now become myths and fairy tales for centuries, even before Christianity was born. OROS represents symbolically a place unreachable, the margin between life and death, the extreme limit to which a man must strive to get the power it needs. The first version of OROS was represented in 2003 in Tuscania (Viterbo) – Italy, and has been designed in a spectacular vein for the duration of an hour. This version was preceded by two years of intense research and investigation on the border between the world of riding and dancing. The current performing version (30 Min. long) is the result of a maturity of ten years work between the knight Francesco Caponetti, the dancer Alessandro Pintus and the Tolfetano horse Brio.
